According to Sylvester, the stripped-back visuals will allow players' imaginations to fill in the narrative gaps, a key part of the game's appeal.

RimWorld has never been about flashy graphics or animations; instead, it prioritizes functionality and ease of use. The developers aim for players to build muscle memory for common button sequences, making it easy to access frequently used menus. To overcome this issue, Sylvester and Mann have focused on creating an intuitive console-friendly interface that captures the magic of the PC version.
